  • NAMI Stark offers monthly meetings that are open to anyone who is interested in mental illness and its related issues. See the Meetings page for more information on these educational and advocacy opportunities.


  • NAMI Stark offers the Family-to-Family Program

    This is a free 12 week educational course available to family and friends of people diagnosed with a serious mental illness. The course, taught by trained family members, describes treatments for mental illnesses and teaches the knowledge and skills that family members need to cope more effectively. The course is highly recommended to those new to the challenges of mental illness, as well as for those who have been dealing with it for years.  Please call Sandy at 330-497-9776 for more information or to sign up for the class.

  • NAMI Stark Peer-to-Peer Educational Program

    Peer-to-Peer is a free nine (2hrs/wk) course on recovery for any person with a serious mental illness who is interested in establishing and maintaining wellness. The course uses a combination of lecture, interactive exercises and structured group processes. ANYONE INTERESTED in information regarding the next P2P course is encouraged to contact Pam at 330-456-9242.

  • NAMI Stark Hand-to-Hand Educational Program

    Hand-to-Hand is a free nine week course for parents of children or teens with serious mental/emotional disorders including major depression, bipolar disorder, childhood schizophrenia, AD/HD, obsessive compulsive disorder and anxiety disorder, among others. The educational and personal insight aspects of the program are similar to F2F (see above). Parents will also learn about additional assistance available for their children's situation.
